Hello, world!
My name is Mario Luan. I'm a software developer from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who discovered the amazing world of computer science in 2010, at the age of 20.
I bought my first computer when I was 21 and started studying for a year, when I got my first professional job in programming, in February, 2013.
It's been challenger and a exciting year as I had to deal with a lot of computer related stuff, from OS basis to high-level software design.
In the past year, I learned a lot of programming concepts, mostly from friends and co-workers I worked with. I also took into reading (sockets linux, javascript's design patterns) and online classes from great resources (code academy, MIT's massive open online courses, khan academy, mongodb university) to get both basic and broader understanding on how computer (software/hardware) works.
After 1 year of hard work to get better on computer, maths (I took into intensive classes of applied maths after getting bad grades in college o/) and as an IT professional, I began to reap the benefits: Back in Feb, 2013, I started as a web developer intern. After six months, I got the opportunity to be promoted to a junior position. And in february, eight months later, I was being promoted again, this time to a position that I've ever wanted to be allocated to.
I'm just 1 year old in the computer world and have just started higher learning, in Computer Science, as you may guess, and still very excited about what I'm going to learn next and which challenges will I take on.
I plan to blog about my personal experience on this exciting computer journey.
Hope you guys take the most from it, just as I did. ;)
